We dreamed about it, but never imagined that we’d be able to film Yo La Tengo. But it happened. It was a beautiful and sweet end to the afternoon in Montmartre. They didn’t talk much, but we didn’t care. The music was just great…

David Blaine – “What is Magic?”

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

I caught this episode the other night and just had to recommend it to everyone else. Growing up I read a lot of fantasy stories that would no doubt involve some sort of wizard, warlock, druid or sorcerer. Magic of course has captivated me since the first time I encountered it in these early childhood novels like Tolkien and Lord Fouls Bane.

So, “What is Magic?” I believe this show answers that question quite nicely. I patched together some clips from the program to make a short teaser for you all. This is worth checking out if you like this sort of thing.

This is some time lapse from San Fransisco, California of some clouds and lights that I found relaxing and thought would be a nice thing to share. Here are the few words from creator.

Footage I shot over the summer of 2009 mostly in the San Francisco bay area.
